CONTAINER OF TREASURES

In 1951, Marc Lalique, son of the Maison's founder. The majestic avenue of plane trees, with their leaves blowing in the wind, became engraved in his mind. The artist put down on paper this fragment of the soul of Paris, captured during his walk on the "most beautiful avenue in the world".

THE POLISHED SATIN FINISH

These two plane tree leaves, which seem to grow on crystal, are the quintessence of Lalique's ornamental technique. The fine veins and edges of the bowl catch the brilliant light and contrast with the satin smoothness of the leaf.
